Biography

Birgit is Distinguished Professor of Organisational Behaviour at Neoma Business School, since 2017 (distinguished since 2022). She received her PhD in psychology from the University of Leipzig in 2001. Subsequently, she worked at several Universities in the Netherlands and the UK, making France her 4th country of residence. Her research mainly focuses on leadership and more recently on the dark side of leadership, including narcissism. She published her research widely in academic journals, books, and special issues. When she doesn’t research or teach, she walks her dog, reads random novels, hangs upside-down from an aerial yoga hammock, and obeys her cat;s orders.
